Life in MN

Moving to MN has been so bittersweet. We absolutely loved St. Louis - there were so many fun things for us to do: the Gardens, Science Center, cousin time, Tower Grove Park. St Louis was where we bought our first house. We absolutely loved that home. We closed on the house in June 2018, just 2 months after Rex was born. We worked so hard on getting the home ready for move in... one of us was there almost every single night for a month and half, either scraping off wallpaper, priming, painting, or pulling weeds out of the completely overgrown backyard. It was completely exhausting, but we were so proud of the accomplishments we made. We really got to enjoy it - we were able to walk to Tower Grove Park, St. Margaret's, and the Botanical Gardens, and go for runs down Flora Place - we definitely took advantage of the location.

As sad as it has been to leave our home in STL, we have also been working hard on enjoying our new city in St. Paul. We are so grateful that we have been able to live with Kiki and Papa until we found a new house, and we cannot wait to close on our new home in just a couple more weeks. The summer has been a whirlwind - both Tim and I worked full time, but we had no established childcare. Luckily we were able to rely on Kiki, Uncle Greg, and some of the neighborhood girls. As busy and stressful as the summer has been, we have really enjoyed it at Kiki and Papa's house: story time at the library, the splashpad at Minnehaha, making new friends, sprinklers in the backyard, happy hour, Arrowwood, bedtime stories with so many adults to choose from, and lots of bike rides and scootering.

I love biking around!

We went to Wisconsin to ride the trains!

We went to Mall of America a couple days after
I got in my bike accident... Mom and Dad felt
so bad for me, and they wanted to do something
really fun... it was really fun!

Al fresco breakfast with Kiki before work!

I love riding on Greg's banana bike... but it makes
Mom really nervous!

Ice cream treats and wagon walks

We are getting really excited to move into our new home in just a couple weeks! There is a huge field just three houses away, a park just a couple blocks from our home, and we are very centrally located - close to work and Kiki and Papa's.
